A calling to write what He leads, no matter how uncomfortable...

Because simple daily Christian living is never what we thought it would be

Welcome...Absolutely Welcome

Let's be serious...life is hard.  That is about the greatest understatement I have ever written.  My mind is racing with examples of people who have lived with the most painful and exhaustingly difficult situations.  Some more than others, but all of us have struggled. We have struggled to pay the bills and feed the family.  We have struggled to put up with the most ridiculous family members and co-workers.  We have struggled to deal with the hypocrisy in churches.  Our bodies have been wounded and broken. Our families have been emotional destroyed. Our loved ones have died.  We have been abused and abandoned.  Scars are more a part of our appearance than is the purity of unharmed hearts and skin.  But still...here we are.
I stand before you as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.  I know He is who He says He is, because no one but a Living God of this magnitude of power could have mended my broken life and healed my diseased emotions.  No one has sinned more than I, and still, He wanted me.  So I gave Him all my worthless pieces and He has made me new.

What can you expect?  Straight talk, laughable humor, real truth, simple living, and passionate yearning...

all regarding the God that still involves Himself in the details of the lives of His people

Dear Readers...

I know that there are thousands of web pages, blogs, and writers out there that can fill your time and influence your day. So why are you here? I believe in a God that directs us and nudges us to encounter Him. Most likely that is the very reason you are here.

Since I am a woman of faith, I do not believe in coincidence.  So, even if you believe that you are here by accident, you may be here for His purpose. That's our God. A God who cares about the very details of our lives.  The God that can hardly wait for us to wake in the morning because He wants to spend the day with us. The God who travels the course with us; both running ahead to clear the path, and walking beside us to add strength and support. That's my God.  And I would love to share Him with...maybe even introduce Him to...you.

Possibly you are a veteran believer and these materials will only remind you of your own struggles and times of growth spent in the hands of a loving God.

That's great.  Seeing how far you have come is always a positive experience.

Maybe you are a new believer and you can't get a grip on how even such a wonderful and forgiving God could possibly work things out in your life...in the lives of His people. And, even though the stories of the Bible are amazing and remarkably inspiring, you would like to see some possibilities a little closer to your own common daily events.

That's also great!  And, by the way, you will grow into the veteran who sees themselves in the Biblical age.

Or best of all, you are not a believer and Christ has led you here in ways you can't even fathom.  Just so you know, He is that way. In fact, you can't even believe that you have read this much of this page. Yet, you are reading...because He is here.  The world sees you as someone who is complete. You know differently.  That longing...that hollow emptiness you feel is not completeness.  I promise you...He is the only fulfillment. History's richest and greatest king knelt silently before the Lord and said that every pursuit in life...every accomplishment of territory and riches, every achievement of beauty and possession, even knowledge...was vain.  He said that nothing satisfies except his God.

Remarkably, this same God wants you.  More remarkably, He wanted me.  He wants all of us.  He tells us that it is His will for all to be saved, and none to be lost.  It is that very will...that desire for us, that caused Him to live and die the way He did...to steal us back from His enemy and bring us back to Him. Nothing in your life will ever be more powerful than coming to believe this.

God truly desires us. He wants every part of us...broken or not.  And though satan came and tricked us into serving other things.  God wants us back.  The price is expensive...more than any of us can pay.  So, God paid that price for us and made a way for us to return.  Jesus Christ is that way.  He is absolutely the only way.  Each of us must make the choice for ourselves to believe that Jesus Christ was God's answer to setting things straight in the spiritual realm...or not.  It is our choice.

So God sent Christ, His only son...pure in every way, to come to earth, live among us, teach us, leave an example for us, and then die. And when this pure and perfect human died...satan threw a big party because of his victory.  But the party did not last for all times as satan had planned, it only lasted three days.  In that three days, I believe that Christ battled satan for our freedom.  All of mankind, all of each of our sins, all  the wages of hell were thrown against Him in an effort to destroy His purity.

But purity can not be defeated by evil.  And in three days Christ had proven this to his adversary.  As Christ pushed through the darkness, His human flesh tangibly rose from the dead.  And the world saw.  They spent time with Him and introduced Him to many others...who, without question, also believed.  He let His followers tie up some loose ends about doubt and forgiveness and He answered their questions.  Because, He knew these would be our questions too.  And then He gave out instructions about what to do next...and what to do forever.   Then, He returned home to His Father...ascending to Heaven visibly right in front of them.  Because...He is truly God...and the things He does are never done in hiding and never just hear-say. He is a God of proof...a God of evidence...and that is what I want to share with you.

My goal is righteousness.  My life is then a pursuit of that goal.  However, in reality it is more a hodge-podge of forward and backwards than it is a progression on the straight and narrow.  These writings are the events and responses and thinkings of a simple woman whose passionate desire is to be obedient to Christ and follow Him.

I have been praying for you.  And, I do absolutely believe that you are here for a reason. So please, spend some time..enjoy...be challenged...get angry... grow... laugh...surrender...but mostly, believe.

In obedience
