What can you expect?  Straight talk, laughable humor, real truth, simple living, and passionate yearning...

all regarding the God that still involves Himself in the details of the lives of His people

A calling to write what He leads, no matter how uncomfortable...

Because simple daily Christian living is never what we thought it would be

Just

Just

The day has just begun
I see the rays of the sun

My husband is just out the door
A little later than he wanted

The cats have just been fed
Now nestled on my piles of clean laundry

The kids are all gone to school
On time, and just forgot one thing

Books and bags and lunches and instruments
Gym clothes and uniforms and pom-poms

“It’s here on the counter” – she has forgotten her lunch
I’ll just call the teacher and take it by later

So many things to remember
I can’t even remember if I am remembering them all

Did I tell them that I loved them?
     Or, just say goodbye?

Did I remind them to live well?
Or just wish them a good day?

It is 7:45; still just early
The sun is lighting the day

Yet it feels like half the day is done
Well…my mind and body think so

How I love this time…just coffee and Your Word
It seems like forever since I have been with You

I guess “Addiction” is a better term
I can’t imagine my day without Your calming effect

All the quiet and the warmth and the peaceful rejuvenation
Of  just visiting, with just You

Please, shut out all that is around me
And all there is left to do

Draw me in to You, Lord
As I open these pages, my eyes and my heart

Let what You say today sink deep within my soul
And repeat itself over and over until I understand

Just sing to me Lord…the soft song of Your sweet presence
In just these few moments each morning,
For You are "just" everything I need for all day.
